Privacy Policy

StageSwitch runs locally on your Mac.

It hides desktop icons from view without collecting, uploading, selling, or tracking user data.

Privacy is part of the product boundary.

StageSwitch temporarily hides desktop icons from view on your Mac. It does not need to move, inspect, upload, or organize your files.

StageSwitch does not collect, upload, move, rename, delete, index, classify, or reorganize user files.

Screen content

StageSwitch does not capture, inspect, upload, or store screenshots or screen recordings.

Meetings

StageSwitch 1.0.0 does not inspect meeting information, camera state, microphone state, screen sharing state, or recording state.

Third parties

StageSwitch does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or third-party services that track users.

Data Collection

Last updated: May 26, 2026

StageSwitch does not collect, upload, sell, or track user data. The app does not require an account, does not use cloud sync, and does not send usage activity to a server.

Local Privacy Boundary

When Clear Mode or Presentation Mode is active, StageSwitch changes only the temporary visible desktop state on your Mac. It does not collect desktop contents, files, screenshots, screen recordings, or meeting information.

App Privacy Summary

For the current release scope, StageSwitch is expected to be submitted to App Store Connect as an app that does not collect data, provided the final release build contains no analytics, crash reporting SDK, advertising SDK, account system, network telemetry, or server integration.

Changes to This Policy

If StageSwitch adds any feature that changes its data practices, this policy and the App Store privacy information will be updated before that change is submitted for release.
